Daily Mail: White House press corps resorts to desperate measures with press-shy President: NBC reporter holds up handwritten sign about Russia talks after Biden ignores journalists again 

* An NBC White House journalist got creative trying to ask the president about this week's United States-Russia security talks over the situation in Ukraine 

* Reporters who posted her efforts on Twitter said Biden didn't stop to answer 

* President Joe Biden has given far fewer press conferences in his first year in the White House than his five predecessors and less media interviews than six 

* Since taking office, Biden has held only nine formal press conference 

* Biden often answers a few questions after his public remarks instead of vying for formal press conferences or pre-planned media interviews 

NBC White House correspondent Kelly O'Donnell turned to her creative side in a desperate bid to get a question to President Joe Biden as he avoided speaking to reporters yet again when he returned to the White House from Camp David on Monday. 

The 79-year-old president has conducted far fewer press conferences than five of his immediate predecessors in his first year in office and has given less interviews with the media than the six presidents who served before him. 

Biden ignored shouted questions from reporters on the White House South Lawn on Monday morning.
