General use helicopters UH-1H Huey is the primary use of rotary wing aircraft of the Royal Thai Army since the establishment of a modern army aviation. It is a helicopter that has been stationed in the Royal Thai Army for 52 years.

Go back to the founding Army Aviation School in 1967, established the Department of Army Aviation in 1972 and is an Army Aviation Center with a location at Somdej Camp. Phra Sri Nakarintra in the present year 1977.

1st Aviation Battalion, Aviation Department, Military Aviation Center or the original unit name is The 1st AirMobile Company (1st AirMobile Company) has been supplying general-purpose helicopters such as UH-1 since the unit was established in the year 1968.

A long period of time through many missions since suppressing domestic terrorists, protect the border from foreign forces, supporting the peaceful mission of the people and consecrate safety which many missions lead to the loss of the machine and the life of the operator.
