A strong naval force not only because of the high-powered warships, but also need combat support ships, ensuring good logistics for the frontline ships. The center of duty, one of which must include the minesweeper.

A strong naval force not only by warships carrying many missiles, or submarines carrying many torpedoes, but besides, combat support comes from war-guaranteed ships. Within the border is also extremely important. One such force of the Vietnamese Navy is the region's leading scale minesweeper fleet.

First, occupying the largest number and the most active in the Vietnamese Navy's minesweeper fleet is the Project 1265 Sonya class minesweepers. These are wood-coated composite minesweepers.

This is a minesweeper designed to detect, mark and neutralize types of mines at the bottom, near the bottom, with mines, anchors floating in and out of ports, coastal roads, protecting submarines. Our ships float as well as naval vessels navigating in and out of naval bases or voyages on shallow waters and bays. The ship has a displacement of 450 tons of full load, 48.8m long and 8.8m wide, maximum speed of 15 knots/h. It is equipped with 1 Spin trough radar, 1 MG-89 sonar, all kinds of nets, sonar buoys, specialized for detecting and clearing submerged bombs and mines in many different ways.

Project 1265 inland service for the Soviet Navy and later the Russian Navy was equipped with two AK-230 30mm guns in front and behind the ship, but in the export version, the cannon was removed. The AK-230 is on the tail and replaces a 2M-3M twin barrel 25mm cannon.

From 1987-1990, the Soviet Union provided us with 4 aircraft numbered respectively 861, 862, 863, 864 and these were the last warships that the Soviet side provided aid. In particular, HQ-861 has participated in CQ-88 campaign to protect the sovereignty of Spratly Islands.

Next is the Yurka class minesweepers of Project 266. The vessel has a displacement of 873 tons, 52m long, 9.4m wide, made from low-grade steel, equipped with two M-503 diesel engines allows it to run at a maximum speed of 16 knots.

The ship has an eye-K radar, an MG-25 sonar, and various types of sonar scanners, magnetic scanners and contact scanners. In addition to scanners, it is also equipped with underwater mine detection systems, mines and submersible bombs. Ships are responsible for sweeping distant mines.

In 1981, the Soviet Union provided us with two of these used ships, numbered 851 and 852 by Vietnam. However, only 852 ships were equipped with two twin-barreled AK-230 30mm guns, and 851 ships it was not equipped with only 2M-3M 25mm cannon, in addition to the A-72 air defense missile launchers.

Finally, two minesweepers Project 1258 Yevgenya. These ships have a very small tonnage, less than 90 tons, ships have 26.13m long, 5.9m wide, crew 10 people and have a maximum speed of 13 knots/h. It has a spin trough radar similar to the Sonya, an MG-7 sonar, a 2M-3M 25mm cannon and specialized minesweepers.

It can only operate near the shore, but it is also capable of spreading sea-blockade mines. The Soviet Union provided us with these 2 ships, numbered 815 and 816 by Vietnam, but their images were very rare. Currently, it is staffed with the Naval Academy for training purposes.

In general, the minesweeper fleet of Vietnam currently dominates the region completely because only countries with a truly developed navy possess these fleets. Hopefully in the new situation, all levels continue to pay attention, invest in more modern minesweepers, help soldiers and soldiers feel secure, create good conditions for comrades to successfully complete their tasks. delivered.
