As the largest number of wheeled armored vehicles on the service of the current Army of Vietnam, BTR-60 armored vehicles are being served in many major forces, including forces our Marines.

When traveling on land, the speed of the BTR-60 is very large, the maximum can reach 80 km/h. Meanwhile, when amphibious, this armored vehicle can move up to 10 km/h.
With the ability to wade well and carry a large number of soldiers, the BTR-60 armor was used by Vietnam to equip the Marine Corps forces, responsible for amphibious transport.
The weakness of BTR-60 when performing landing missions is that the vehicle is not equipped with rear doors. Soldiers in vehicles when going in and out of vehicles must go through roof doors.
Vietnamese soldiers trained in amphibious attacks from BTR-60 armored vehicles, so they could see soldiers having to get out of the roofs and jump to the ground instead of having doors at the back of the vehicles like many other armored vehicles.
In addition, the car is also arranged many "apricot holes", allowing soldiers to be able to fire around the vehicle (except for the rear) through the apricot holes.
