style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Boeing subsidiary Insitu has been awarded a USD9.9 million contract by the US Department of Defense (DoD) to supply the Indonesian government with the ScanEagle unmanned aircraft system (UAS).
The contract, which will be executed via the US’ Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme, consists of six ScanEagle air vehicles, as well as equipment related to its operations and technical support services. Work on the contract is expected to complete in May 2022.
As reported by Jane’s in February 2018, Indonesia was selected to receive the ScanEagle UAS under a grant by the US government.
