Shortly after the images of a downed Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 fighter, surfaced online, a video of an eyewitness account from the area over which the dogfight with Indian MIG-21 Bison occurred was accessed by Times Now. A locale who saw the aerial-combat between the fighter jets of the two countries said there were three parachutes in the sky and jets suffered damage.

A MIG-21 Bison has the capacity to carry just one – leading analysts to believe that the other two parachutes belonged to the pilots of the F-16 on which IAF braveheart Abhinandan Varthaman locked his missiles before crash-landing in PoK.

“I was standing on the terrace where I had come for a walk. I heard the sound of firing. Three pilots ejected from the aircrafts. There were three parachutes. One was in the air, while other two pilots other 2 landed around here,” the eye witness told a local news channel. The men who touched had pistols, he added.

The development comes shortly after images of the downed F-16 fighter jet by the Indian Air Force surfaced online. In the photo, officers of Pakistan’s Northern Light Infantry could be seen around the wreckage.
Pakistan on Wednesday said it shot down two Indian jets and took a pilot into custody.

The aerial-combat followed after PAF tried to target military installations inside India and chased the PAF fighter jets back into Pakistan.
