DISA's CFO retires
Sannadean Sims, the Defense Information Systems Agency’s chief financial officer, comptroller, and Resource Management Center director, retired Jan. 3 after 30 years of government service.
Sims joined DISA in 1994, honing her leadership skills in the Strategic Planning and Information Directorate. She also held positions in the president’s Executive Office, Office of Management and Budget, White House Military Office, and the U.S. Army Europe’s 60th Ordnance Group in Zweibruecken, Germany.
As CFO, Sims was charged with overseeing DISA’s $11 billion budget, essential command and control, telecommunications, computing, cyber operations, and other services of the Defense Secretary’s Office. Before her departure, Sims said her team is working on developing an accounting system for DISA’s working capital fund, which will then be expanded across DOD.
The agency hosted a ceremony for Sims at its Ft. Meade headquarters Jan. 3.
