Daily Mail: Trump rips Hillary Clinton's campaign for role in Russia 'hoax' as he says Democrats paid nearly $6 million for phony dossier and are 'very embarrassed by it'
* The president hammered Democrats as he left the White House on Wednesday for a trip to Dallas, Texas
* Trump claimed Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic Party were forced to admit their role in funding a salacious and dodgy 'dirty dossier' targeting him
* A federal judge was set to rule that Congress could subpoena the bank records of Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm
* Fusion was paid through a law firm, acting on behalf of the Clinton camp and the Democratic National Committee
* The president told Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs that 'it's almost $6 million that they paid, and it's totally discredited – it's a total phony
Donald Trump blasted his former campaign opponent on Wednesday for denying her role in paying for opposition research that grew into an election-year 'dirty dossier' full of salacious and unsubstantiated allegations against him.
'Don't forget Hillary Clinton totally denied this. She didn't know anything. She knew nothing,' Trump said in an interview with the Fox Business Network's 'Lou Dobbs Tonight' program.
'What I was amazed at – it's almost $6 million that they paid, and it's totally discredited. It's a total phony. I call it fake news. It's disgraceful. It's disgraceful.'
