What Has Happened With CNN?
(CNN)The shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise and four others at a baseball practice for Republican members of Congress on Wednesday morning in Alexandria, Virginia, was always going to quickly turn to politics.
That pivot happened rapidly around 11:15 am when CNN confirmed that the alleged shooter was James T. Hodgkinson of Illinois. A quick scan of his social media presence -- Facebook and Twitter -- suggested that he was strongly opposed to President Donald Trump and was a supporter of the 2016 presidential candidacy of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, an Independent who ran as a Democrat.
Hodgkinson also apparently volunteered for Sanders campaign in Iowa during the 2016

campaign. Sanders condemned the shooting in a statement issued Wednesday afternoon.

WNU Editor: Where I live (in Montreal) I am limited in my cable selection on cable news from the U.S.. .... I can only get CNN (talk about being forced fed a certain slant of news .... but I digress). So what is on CNN this morning .... surprise .... surprise .... instead of the usual hysteria on Trump and Russia .... they are mute right now. I recall (as if it was yesterday) that when Rep. Gabby Giffords was seriously wounded in an assassination attempt .... CNN went completely bonkers .... even linking Sarah Palin to the shooting .... Should We Blame Sarah Palin for Gabrielle Giffords' Shooting? (CNN).
Sighhh .... this is why I do not trust the media. Their priority is to push their own agenda and narrative .... and if events say otherwise .... do what CNN is doing right now .... dial back their attacks on who they despise, and push stories like the one above.
