NEW DELHI: Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday blamed Pakistan for fomenting trouble in the Kashmir valley. He said the government was sincerely working towards a permanent solution to the Kashmir problem+ , though it could take some time.

a solution cannot be expected in a jiffy or the next couple of months. The government is committed to removing every impediment to the future of Kashmir. The skills that its youth are blessed with will be used for the development of Kashmir and India; their hands are not meant for pelting stones,” he told mediapersons here while enlisting the achievements of Modi government over the past three years.

“But there are forces, working at the behest of Pakistan+ , that are trying to mislead and instigate the Kashmiri youth. All this is backed by Pakistan that ironically has failed to do anything to control things in its backyard, be it East Pakistan (Bangladesh), Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh or FATA,” he pointed out.

“And the local forces that are instigating the Kashmiri youth at the behest of Pakistan are doing it for their own personal gain. India will not allow them to play with the future of Kashmiris+ ,” said Singh.
Stating that the NDA government was sensitive towards the needs and problems of J&K people, the home minister recalled how PM Narendra Modi was first to reach the state at the time of floods and also ensured that he celebrated his 1st Diwali in the state after taking over.
