Navy Launches Repair Projects for 2 Patrol Corvettes

The Philippine Navy, through the Department of National Defense (DND)-Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), has launched separate procurement projects for the Dry Docking and Other Related Repairs of two Miguel Malvar-class Patrol Corvettes BRP Magat Salamat (PS20) and BRP Sultan Kudarat (PS22).
Approved budget for two separate contracts are PHP82,444,000.00 and PHP75,732,000.00 for BRP Sultan Kudarat and BRP Magat Salamat, respectively.
Pre-bid conference was set today, while bid opening is scheduled

“Delivery of the Goods is required within One Hundred Fifty (150) Calendar Days upon receipt of Notice To Proceed (NTP),” said in the invitation to bid.
MaxDefense Philippines said, in a post in its official social networking page, these projects for BRP Magat Salamat and BRP Sultan Kudarat “means that these ships might continue to serve the Philippine Navy well after 2020 if no replacement ships become available, as dry docking includes extending the ship’s lifespan.”
