BDL, a ‘Mini-Ratna’ Defence PSU, has achieved a record turnover of Rs 4,872 Crore in 2016 -17 and a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 39.89 % over the last three years. Secretary (Defence Production) congratulated BDL for being the forerunner amongst the DPSUs in outsourcing and manpower utilisation. He highlighted that opening of Marketing Office at New Delhi is in the right direction in right time. He also advised DPSUs to be proactive and be strong practitioners of “Make in India” initiative with technology ownership through Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured (IDDM) category.
